Headway Bradford

Headway Bradford is a local branch of the national charity 'Headway UK - the brain injury association'. We offer support to people in the Bradford District and surrounding areas whose lives have been affected by brain injury either because they have sustained a brain injury or are a family member, partner or carer of someone who has. We aim to help relieve the social isolation felt by brain injury survivors and those close to them. We:
Place copies of our booklet 'After a brain injury: an information resource for families and carers' in hospitals where Bradford residents may be admitted following a brain injury (Bradford Royal Infirmary, Leeds General Infirmary and Airedale General Hospital)
Hold monthly social meetings in Shipley and monthly drop in coffee mornings in Bradford
Organise social events and trips
Produce a regular newsletter
Provide information and signposting to helpful organisations
Run a website www.headwaybradford.org.uk
Raise awareness about brain injury
For further information about our service and volunteering opportunities, please contact Headway Bradford by phone on 07856 076 866 or email headway_bradford@hotmail.co.uk
